About this product

Price the quote in your admin. Send a link they can pay.

The order you lose today is the one that turned into an email thread. Your customer asked for a price on fourteen items, you replied with a spreadsheet, and three emails later nobody is sure what was agreed or how to pay for it.

The problem, in one sentence

A quote that cannot be paid for is a conversation, not an order.

What you get

The free plugin does the asking:

  • A Request a quote button where Add to cart used to be.
  • A quote list that is not the cart, so a quote-only product can never reach checkout at a price of zero.
  • Hide the price, replaced with your own line of text.
  • Hide the buy button, properly. The product is marked not purchasable, so it also cannot be bought by posting to the cart URL. Hiding the button alone leaves that door open, and shops in this category have been caught by it.
  • Choose which products: one by one, by category, or the whole shop, plus a per-product "never quote this one" escape hatch.
  • Per role, so approved trade accounts see their prices and strangers have to ask.
  • The quote list survives. A logged-in customer's list is still there next week, and a guest's list is merged into their account when they register rather than thrown away.
  • A My quotes tab for the customer.

It is free, it stays free, and it is in the download with the Pro add-on, so you can install both the day you buy. It is not in the WordPress plugin directory yet: we will send it there, the directory is reviewed by volunteers and the queue is measured in weeks, so we do not promise you a date for that. You do not need the directory listing to use it.

The Pro add-on, 49 dollars once for one site, closes the loop:

  1. Type a price against each line, in your admin. Plus delivery, plus a discount, plus a note about lead times. It reads whatever number format you type: 1,234.56 and 1.234,56 both work.
  2. One button sends it. The customer gets an email with the prices, the total, and a link.
  3. That link is your own checkout, with your quoted prices already on it. It is a real WooCommerce order, so every payment gateway, tax rule, invoice plugin and accounting export you already use keeps working.
  4. When they pay, the quote marks itself accepted. Your quote list tells the truth without you ticking anything.

Three reasons to buy it

  1. It is a real WooCommerce order at the end. Not a parallel payment system that your invoicing plugin has never heard of. Your bookkeeping does not change.
  2. It does the part the alternatives leave out: the payment. Most quote plugins stop at "we have received your request". This one ends with a customer who has paid, at the prices you typed, as an ordinary order in your shop. That gap is the whole reason this product exists.
  3. Support by email, answered within two working days. Every question gets a written answer, and anything that turns out to be a bug is fixed in the next release.

Three reasons not to

  1. If you answer ten quotes a month by email, the free version is genuinely enough. It is a complete plugin, not a trial. Use it, and come back when replying by hand starts to cost you more than one afternoon of your time a year.
  2. It is not a B2B pricing plugin. No tiered price tables, no per-customer price lists, no tax-exemption handling. Those are a different product and a half version of them bolted onto this would be worse than the dedicated one you can already buy.
  3. You have to check your tax setting once, on purpose. A trade customer is normally quoted a price excluding tax, while a shop set up for retail may enter prices including it. There is one dropdown for this and a five-minute test in the docs to work out which way round you are. Get it wrong and your customer pays a different number from the one you quoted. We would rather put that in front of you than in a FAQ.

Not for you if

  • Your prices are public and the same for everyone. You do not need this at all.
  • You want the quote to become something other than a WooCommerce order. It becomes a WooCommerce order, deliberately, and that is the whole design.
  • You need per-customer price lists applied automatically. That is a pricing plugin, not a quoting one.

Price

49 USD, one site. You pay once.

There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. The add-on has no expiry date written into it, and the licence key is used to fetch updates and for our own records, never as a switch: class-wcraqp-license.php turns nothing off when a check fails, so every feature keeps working whether or not the key can be reached, and whether or not you ever enter one. That is not a favour, it is the only honest way to build it: a quote you cannot send because our server is down is a sale you lose for our problem.

The free plugin does not expire and has no limits either.

Guarantee

Fourteen days. Email and say "refund", and that is the whole process. No form, no reason required, no questions back.

If a quote you sent through this came out at a different total than you typed, that is our bug and the refund is not a favour.
