About this product
Stars on your course pages, without buying 27 add-ons you will never open
Your course page has no ratings on it. The free add-on your LMS ships does the job half way. The alternative is 299 dollars a year for a bundle of 28 add-ons when you wanted one.
This is the one.
The problem, in one sentence
You cannot sell a course to a stranger who has no way of knowing whether anyone else finished it.
What you get
The free plugin does the part your students see:
- A 1 to 5 star rating with a headline and a written review.
- The average, the count, and the full 1 to 5 spread on every course page.
- Stars anywhere on your site with a shortcode, including inside the cards on your course listing.
- Structured data so Google can show stars under your course.
- A moderation screen: approve, hold, spam, trash.
- An email to you when a review arrives.
- Spam defence with no puzzle for your students to solve and no third-party service involved.
It is free, it stays free, and it is in the download with the Pro add-on, so you can install both the day you buy. It is not in the WordPress plugin directory yet: we will send it there, the directory is reviewed by volunteers and the queue is measured in weeks, so we do not promise you a date for that. You do not need the directory listing to use it.
The Pro add-on, 49 dollars once for one site, adds the three things that turn reviews from decoration into something you can rely on:
- Verified students only. Only people actually enrolled on the course can review it, and their reviews carry a badge that says so. Enrolment is asked of your LMS, and if your LMS cannot answer, the review is refused rather than waved through. That is what makes the badge worth printing.
- Reply in public, as the instructor. The honest answer to a three-star review is not deleting it. It is answering it underneath, where the next buyer reads both. Two clicks from your review list.
- Ask for the review automatically. A plain email a few days after a student finishes, once, never to someone who already reviewed. This is the difference between an empty course page and one with twelve reviews on it.
Three reasons to buy it
- It costs a fraction of the bundle. Forty-nine dollars once against 299 a year for LearnPress's 28 add-ons or 199 a year for Tutor LMS Pro. You are buying one feature and paying for one feature.
- It works on both LearnPress and Tutor LMS, including both at once. If you switch LMS next year, your reviews come with you: they live in their own table, not inside your LMS.
- Support by email, answered within two working days. Every question gets a written answer, and anything that turns out to be a bug is fixed in the next release.
Three reasons not to
- The free version may be all you need. If you have forty students and you know all of them, verified reviews solve a problem you do not have. Install the free plugin and come back when you have a review you wish you could answer.
- It will not make Google show stars. Nobody can promise that. Google decides, it changes its mind, and it ignores markup it considers self-serving. What is promised is valid markup that describes your page and stays silent when a course has no reviews. The rest is Google's.
- It does one job. No certificates, no payment gateways, no page builder widgets, no "all in one" anything. If you want a bundle, the bundle is genuinely the better buy and it is not this.
Not for you if
- You want an everything suite. Buy the suite.
- You are on an LMS that is neither LearnPress nor Tutor LMS. There is a filter to point the plugin at any course post type, and it is documented, but you would be doing that work yourself.
- Your reviews are all from people who got the course free. Verified-only will switch most of them off, and it should.
Price
49 USD, one site. You pay once.
There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. The add-on has no expiry date written into it: the licence key is used to fetch updates and for our own records, never as a switch, so no feature stops working if a check fails or if you never enter the key at all. Updates and support are included and are not time-limited.
The free plugin does not expire, has no limits, and is not time-limited either.
Guarantee
Fourteen days. Email and say "refund", and that is the whole process. No form, no reason required, no questions back. If it did not do what this page said it would, that is ours to carry, not yours.
